A known problem-solver and life-long learner, Oliver Schabenberger has more than 20 years of experience in enterprise software and solutions, with deep knowledge of data management, advanced analytics and AI technologies.
The former chief innovation officer at SingleStore, Schabenberger also served as the CTO and COO at AI leader SAS, where he led more than 10,000 employees within multiple global divisions, including R&D, sales, services, marketing, cloud, and information technology. While at SAS, Schabenberger set the company’s technology direction and executed on strategic objectives and business priorities.
Before entering the corporate world, Schabenberger was an academician and tenured professor at Virginia Tech, holding a master's degree in statistics as well as a Ph.D. in forestry. In addition to co-writing three statistical textbooks and providing thought leadership on digital transformation and artificial intelligence, Schabenberger is a fellow of the American Statistical Association and holds several patents for software design and algorithms.
