Enabling world class research and education via the application of data science.

The Academy of Data Science will promote the application of data science methods to help solve scientific problems and it will foster the development of data science methods in support of science.  It will do so by teaching, supporting, promoting, and applying data science methods and tools throughout the College of Science and Virginia Tech.  The Academy will serve as the interdisciplinary hub for data science collaboration and research for faculty, and it will promote the infusion of data science into the college’s curricula.
